Hello I am new to this forum and I have this homework question that i cant seem to figure out. I know what all these terms mean but i do not know how to apply it to this question. Here is the question
Human blood is composed of approximately 92% water, with solutes (dissolved particles like proteins, salts, etc.) making up the remaining 8%. With this knowledge, describe what would happen to a patient’s red blood cells if given an I-V filled with 1) a solution with a water concentration of 92% 2) a solution with a water concentration of 100% and 3) a solution with a water concentration of 80%. Additionally, explain in detail why each solution would cause each particular reaction to occur.

A little more info:

Isotonic = same concentration
Hypertonic = more concentration
Hypotonic = less concentration

Osmosis = the diffusion of water
Diffusion = movement from high concentration to low concentration
