A good friend of mine has always had weird back pains as well as knee pains. Just recently though, he started working full time and has been experiencing severe back pain. After going a few different doctors, multiple times, he has been told that his spine is straight, one of his upper back bones is rotated, and most recently that he has extreme low blood sugar (around 50) and vitamin D deficiency. This all seems pretty sudden... or at least the severity of it all. If anyone knows what is wrong, what is causing it, and how to help... it would really be appreciated.

For a little background information, although he does spend a lot of time inside, he lives in  central Florida and it is pretty impossible to avoid the sun. In the last 6 months, his diet and exercise schedule have completely changed. He started a regular gym schedule of 5-3 days a week, started eating much more and healthier (lean chicken and fish). Also, he started making protein shakes daily (filled with milk), taking fish oil pills, and creation pills.

Please help if you can. He's supposed to leave for boot camp in a few months, but he needs to be healthy.

Hi Nicole,

Changing doctors is NOT a good idea, doctors can only evaluate one thing at a time. Each time your friend changes doctor the process begins again.

If I exercised a lot and ate little I too would have low blood sugar. This is normal.

Question: Seems like he is not concerned about his health but you are.
