Some one tell me why the current lags the voltage in the inductor
and why the current leads the voltage in the capacitor

i need a physical explanation
is there a doorman tells the current to not pass before the voltage ?
and the same thing with the capacitor
Thank you so much

It is the result of the equations

i = C dv/dt  => i leads v

and

v = L di/dt => v leads i

The capacitor responds to the change in voltage rather than the value of the voltage.  The voltage is changing rapidly as the sinusoid passes zero and slowly as it reaches the peak.

The inductor 's magnetic field opposes current change so it is always behind the voltage trend.
