Yes, and even you have so much experience with smf, that I could have always got my queries answered.
I learned a lot while doing coding by seeing and implementing.

The quiz plugin of smf is unparalleled. no other forum software has such an awesome plugin.
I will have to manage with html base quizzes if I use mybb

What I click about SMF is the small learning curve. Trust me, there are a lot of mods that don't work with SMF 1.x - the version being used on this forum. But sometimes you have to rationalize the best choice. HTML-based quizzes are a pain, because you cannot collect statistics overtime. Those can only be done using PHP.

it still bugs me, every forum software has a arcade system
Would it hurt to make a game where users can get points for selecting right answer, it could work as an awesome quiz plugin with statistics stored.

The reason I see it as important is because you can do a lot of statistical analysis on where people went wrong. For those questions they got wrong, let's say they picked B on question #7, you can see how many people also picked B and analyse why B was picked. In turn, you can make better judgement on how to ask questions, or see where to focus your lessons on in case you have a tutorial section.
