A car rounds a curve of radius R traveling with speed v. It experiences a centripetal acceleration a. The car then speed up so that when it gets to the next curve which has radius 2R, the car is traveling with speed 2v. What centripetal acceleration does the car experience when rounding the second curve?

Yo brahhhhh,

The answer is 2a

Why you ask?Neutral Face?  (please o please ask why?)

Because Centripital Acceleration is equal to velocity squared divided by r

A=(v^2)/r
so at velocity 2 and radius one the A=4
Then if both velocityand radius is doubled v=4 and radius 2 so 16/2=8
a velocity of 8 is quite twice as big as 4 carla
