The tingling sensation Could be related to hyperventilation. Hyperventilation is rapid or deep breathing that can occur with anxiety or panic. It's also called  over-breathing, and it may leave one feeling breathless. Excessive breathing creates low level of carbon dioxide in your blood. This is causes many of symptoms of hyperventilation.

The normal breathing patterns that is present in healthy people : about 12 breaths per minute, 500mL of tidal volume, 6 L/minutes for minute ventilation rates and about 49 mm Hg for arterial and alveolar CO2 partial pressure. An ineffective breathing patterns (present in ill people): with about 18-20 breaths/minutes, 700-800 mL for tidal volume, and about 15mL for MV, with less than 35 mmHg for CO2. Hence, the sick breathe faster and deeper than the norms. These numbers for the sick are common for many chronic conditions.
