It's Utilitarian ethics. You're talking about the ethics of the act and the statement is clearly consequential (meaning "right" and "wrong" are dependent on the consequences of the action). Utilitarianism exhibits those characteristics.

In Deontological ethics, (Read Immanuel Kant)...the statement would not need a consequence to determine "right" from "wrong"...it would only require a statement of a duty and one's obligation to follow that duty. In other words, the deontological approach to the problem would be stated as something like "Hunting is wrong because humans have a duty to protect the environment."
