•   Verbal: Cognitively complex lies (lies in which a person must fabricate information) are associated with an increased pitch of voice, increased speech disturbances, slower rate of speech.
•   Verbal: Cognitively simpler lies (lies in which you must conceal something or those in which the person is told what to lie about) are associated with fewer speech disturbances and a faster speech rate.
•   Nonverbal: nodding, hand movement, leg/foot movement
