A nursing graduate is disappointed to learn that he was not successful on his first taking of the NCLEX-PN. What is the first thing he should do to prepare for a retaking the exam?
 
  A) Arrange for tutoring from a trusted nursing instructor
  B) Revisit the materials he earlier used to study for the exam
  C) Consult his Candidate Performance Review
  D) Ask the NCSBN to reevaluate his exam results

If a candidate does not pass the examination, the candidate will receive a Candidate Performance Report (CPR). This can be used to determine where the student needs to improve in preparation for a retaking the NCLEX-PN. This is more important than arranging for tutoring or beginning to study again. The NCSBN will not normally reevaluate the student's exam.
