A) End in "ase," and have a role in regulating cell processes
B) are chemical messages secreted directly into the blood stream.
C) often affect target cells distant from the cells that secreted them
D) excite specific responses from target cells.

HINT: In general, ALL hormones enter the blood stream. However, an exception to this is that the hypothalamus produces Oxycontin and ADH in neuron cell bodies. These hormones are carried by the neuron axons to the posterior pituitary where they are stored.

I'm pretty positive that it is A for the sake of what I've been told. "Enzymes end in 'ase' "
