In applying guidelines to avoid gender bias in teaching, we should remember that
   A) boys have superior mathematical skills compared to girls.
   B) we should encourage boys to enrol in home economics classes.
   C) we should use gender-free language as much as possible.
   D) girls tend to excel in math story problems compared to boys.

C) Woolfolk offers several Guidelines to avoiding gender bias in teaching.     Among them is to use gender-free language as much as possible (e.g., use “law-   enforcement officer” rather than “policemen”).
