A
Fluoxetine produces selective inhibition of serotonin reuptake and intensifies transmission at se-rotonergic synapses.
Fluoxetine does not act by blocking uptake of monoamines or inhibiting monoamine oxidase-A nerve terminals, nor does it directly stimulate serotonin receptors.
