ANS: A
Inhalants are among the first drugs that young children use. The primary abusers of most inhal-ants are adolescents who are 12-17 years of age. Most recent studies have found that the DARE program is less effective than other interactive prevention programs and may even result in in-creased drug use. Underage drinking is seen as the most serious drug problem for youth in the United States. The younger a person is when beginning intensive experimentation with drugs, the more likely dependence will develop.
