The nurse assisting with the application of a short arm plaster cast application would take special care to:
1.   dampen the skin to make the stockinette adhere.
2.   tape the arm prior to application of the stockinette.
3.   smooth the stockinette to prevent a pressure ulcer.
4.   roll the stockinette tightly above and below the margins of the cast.


This is for my medical nursing class
