A nurse teaching a health class for 12- and 13-year-old girls about routine vaginal hygiene would include instruction to:
1.   wear clean polyester panties daily and at night.
2.   douche weekly with a mild vinegar solution.
3.   wash the external and internal genitalia daily.
4.   wipe the perineal-anal area from front to back.
