  c. place them on an open case cart with a plastic drape, place items or instruments inside the case cart, and roll to the appropriate area.
  d. rinse the used items in the scrub sink then carry them in plastic bags to the decontamination area.

All contaminated instruments should be placed inside the case cart. The cart is either covered or closed and taken to the central decontamination area.
