Answer to q. 1

Plants with very small or obscure flowers are often wind pollinated, particularly if they produce large quantities of pollen. Bright blue or yellow flowers attract bees, which arrive for the nectar but also get dusted with pollen, which they transfer to the next flower they visit. Some flowers have visible (to us) or ultraviolet (visible to the bee) stripes that direct the bee to the center, where the nectar is located. Flowers pollinated by birds and some moths are often bright red. Flowers pollinated by nocturnal animals such as bats and some moths are typically white.

Answer to q. 2

The eudicots typically have floral parts in multiples of five; monocots typically have floral parts in multiples of three. Some flowers have both male and female reproductive parts in each flower; other flowers have male flowers separate from female flowers on the same plant (this is termed monoecious), others have male flowers on different plants than plants that bear the female flowers (this is termed dioecious).
