It's true, AB negative is the rarest. These people have the A or B antigens on the surface of their blood cells, but no rhesus factor. The reason is because there are a few combinations of alleles which can produce it, and the alleles are relatively rare. To produce AB blood, an individual must inherit an A allele and a B allele, not an O allele. The allele frequency for type O is higher, while the frequency for A and B is significantly lower. The odds of this particular combination are simply lower than any other combination.

In this case since AB -ve Blood type is rare, number of Blood bottles donated by donors having these Blood type will also be less ?

Do you feel it is useful to trace countries wide
AB - ve Rarest Blood group type data samples in numbers?

Is it possible to investigate?

As a example :

USA - How many People having AB - ve Blood type?

UK - How many People having AB - ve Blood type?

France - How many people having AB - ve Blood type?

.
.

Also the number of AB -ve Blood type Bottles will be also less if traced in Blood banks in respective countries?

What could be the most likely Blood groups of parents whose child/children is/are having AB -ve blood groups?

My Blood Group is B +ve.
My Wife's Blood Group is A +ve.
My Son's Blood Group is AB +ve.

Is it possible that with the above parent's blood groups,
the child can even have AB -ve blood type?

AB negative means you have both antigen A and B on the surface of the blood cell, but no Rh Factor. If you ever need blood you can get any groups (A,B,AB,and O) blood as long as it is Rh negative (which is rare). But your blood can only be given to a person with AB (Rh+ or Rh-) group. It is bad because you cannot give your blood to any one you want but also good because people with AB- blood are very rare and your blood will be useful to those rare people who have really hard time finding the blood they need. Overall it is good thing because your blood is more precious.

If not, Can you correct please?
