This creativity is due in part to the Zeigarnik effect. The Zeigarnik effect asserts that our brain remembers incomplete tasks better than those that are finished. Completed work can be shelved away in our minds.

Incomplete work, meanwhile, remains at the top of our mental to-do list. This is because our brain is still trying to solve the problem and complete the task, even when we are not actively working on it. So, putting off finishing a task means you have more time to develop a creative solution.

What does the fourth paragraph do?

A. It states the opposing claim.

B. It explains how to become a better procrastinator.

C. It explains why procrastinators may be more creative.

D. It gives the results of several studies.
