Use the following to answer the questions below:

The states located in the Midwestern region of the country typically experience a large number of tornados every year. The number of tornadoes from 2000-2011 for four Midwestern states (Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa) are displayed in the side-by-side boxplots.

Four side-by-side vertical boxplots depicts the results of the number of tornadoes per year  in different Midwestern regions of the country. The horizontal axis has the following markings: Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa, in the order from left to right.  The vertical axis is labeled, Number of tornadoes per year (2000-2011) and ranges from 0 to 200 in increments of 50. For Kansas, the whiskers of the boxplot range from 60 to 180 and the box ranges from 90 to 130 with a median at 95. For Nebraska, the whiskers of the boxplot range from 25 to 110 and the box ranges from 40 to 75 with a median at 50.  For South Dakota, the whiskers of the boxplot range from 20 to 40 and the box ranges from 25 to 35 with a median at 30 and an individual dot is plotted at the point, 80 on the vertical axis.  For Iowa, the whiskers of the boxplot range from 30 to 120 and the box ranges from 40 to 95 with a median at 45. All values are approximate.
