•   The amygdala is responsible for evaluating incoming sensory information, quickly determining its emotional importance, and making the initial decision to approach or withdraw from a person or situation.
•   It quickly assesses danger or threat.

Next time please provide information about the textbook and possibly so that I could narrow it down. I literally had to look everywhere to get this Face with Stuck-out Tongue
