What is MacConkey selective for and is it also differential?
Answer
      selective for Gram + bacteria but it is not a differential agar
      selective for Gram + bacteria and differential for lactose fermenters
      selective for Gram - bacteria, but it is not a differential agar
      selective for Gram - bacteria and differential for lactose fermenters
