In spite of a presumption in favour of using extrajudicial measures in certain cases under the Youth Criminal Justice Act,
a.   Youth do not have to admit responsibility, but guilt.
b.   Youth must have legal representation at sentencing.
c.   Youth do not have a legal right to be dealt with outside the court system.
d.   Youth must agree to community services as a sanction.
e.   Fewer youth are becoming involved in these sanctions.
