Just derive this:

This is x (x^2 + 4)^(-1/2), so just use the product rule and the chain rule.  The product rule says that this is:

x * (derivative of second term) + (derivative of x) * (second term) =
x [(1/2)(x^2 + 4)^(-1/2)]*2x + (1 * (x^2 + 4)^(-1/2))

You can simplify it from here.
