You need to look at how much you are paying per kilowatt hour then look at your last bill and read you meter, them multiple how many watts per hour times the amount of money paying per kilowatt, and that would be the most accurate reading and calculation you can make.

lol sounds like your doing a little cultivation eh?! just kidding, get your power bill, look for the amount that says "per kilowatt hour"  should be between 10 and 20 cents depending on your state.  450 watts is .45 kilowatts...take .45 and multiply that by the amount shown....that will show your per/hr cost.< ie... knew this guy that was running 800 watts at 19 cents per kilowatt hour... .80 X 19 = 15.2 cents per hour to run.

Good luck

power = amperage x voltage
used energy = power x time
price = price/(unit of energy) x used energy

An example:
Through an apparatus goes during 20 hours a current of 10A.
During that time the price is 20 ct/kWh.

power = 10 A x 110 V = 1100 W = 1.1 kW
used energy = 1.1 kW x 20 h = 22 kWh
price = 20ct/kWh x 22 kWh = 440 ct

A 450 watt motor running per hour will consume a energy of 450 watt hour.  The amount spent depends on the cost of energy per KWHr.
