Use Ohm's law:

V = I * R

V is voltage, here 9 V
I is current, here 3 A

So you will get 9(volts) = 3(amps) * Resistance(ohms)

I bet if you Google "electrical resistance formula" you'll be able to find the formula/s that will help you now...and in the future.

Use Ohms law E=IR, transpose to R=E/I, and do the math. R = 9/3 yielding 3 Amps.This would be 27 watts.
