Had to re post since it didn't make sense to other people but, if the speed of light speed slowed down and was not the fastest anymore what would happen?

you would see things happen much slower then they actually happened.

For example if it was the same speed as sound (323m/s) then you would see the plane in the sky at the time as you heard it, although at the moment you are seeing it, it is in actuality much further away in the sky.

It really, really hurts my brain to even think about this.  You would see things the same, I suspect, but it would take longer for your eyes to recieve updated information on that object.  For exemple, if we cut the speed of light in half we would see the nearest star as it was 8 years ago instead of 4. Does that make sense?
