i can only afford to buy one of them at the moment so i need to know which one can be more useful .so can you compare their features and abilities for me that it becomes easier to choose one?

iPhone..they are both fantastic pieces of kit and do the same things but you can text and call people on the iPhone, obviously...
 They do the same stuff apart from the iPad has a bigger screen obviously but the iPhone is better because it is easier to carry around.

The iPhone can be replaced with any phone just to make calls, whereas the iPad is convenient to have for portability and certain apps either at school or work. Buy the iPad, and download a calling app Wink Face Just use a bluetooth headset with it, don't hold it up to your ear or you'll look really weird.
