A Watt is defined as a Joule/sec.  So,

The definition of a watt is a Joule per second.

(300,000 joules) / (100 joules/second) = 3,000 seconds

3,000 seconds X (1 minute/60 seconds) X (1 hour/60 minutes) = 0.833 hours
