Why is it important for us to examine the effects of temperature on the rate of diffusion? I know we learn it all the time in high school but why do we need to learn about it?

Temperature is directly related to the movement of atoms and molecules, also known as Entropy.  If the Entropy is low, like in an ice cube which is very cold, the molecules are slowed down to almost no movement.  However, when entropy is high, like when boiling water which is at a very hot temperature, the molecules are increasing in entropy and moving fast.

This relates to the rate of diffusion because, if the molecules are in warm or hot environment, like when a person has a higher than average body temperature, the molecules are going to diffuse quicker than they would at the average body temperature.
