The Comanche and the U.S. government had different interpretations of the Medicine Creek Lodge Treaty. What were they?
A) Both the U.S. government and the Comanche believed that the treaty was in both of their best interests.
B) The Comanche leaders wanted to remain on the reservation most of the time and hunt for only a short period and only near the reservation. The U.S. wanted them to leave the reservation and hunt for a living.
C) The U.S. government asked the Comanche to remain on the reservation for a limited period of time and leave to start their own farms in New Mexico.
D) The Comanche believed they could stay on the reservation during the winter, collect government payments and hunt during the spring outside of the Treaty boundaries. The government thought they would become farmers and hunt only within designated Treaty limits.
