1... To be reimbursed by Medicare for home care, a skilled provider needs to perform teaching about a new or acute situation; assessing an acute process or a change in the patient’s condition; and a skilled procedure or a hands-on service requiring the professional skill, knowledge, ability, and judgment of a licensed nurse. The patient needs of biweekly medication injection and physical therapy for home ambulation are the needs to determine the patient’s eligibility for home care. The other choices do not need the assistance of a skilled provider to perform and would not be reimbursed by Medicare for home care.
Don't forget to give me a thumbs up!
