1,2,3 -- Obesity leads to atherosclerosis which increases vascular resistance, predisposing the patient to cardiovascular diseases; respiratory airway collapse can occur during sleep in obese patients; obesity increases the risk of developing diabetes mellitus type 2 in adults. Hypertension is associated with obesity not hypotension.
