How do you know for sure if you want to be a doctor someday? It's oddly weird for someone to know, even though they haven't tried it for themselves. I feel like shadowing doesnt really count, since you are not actually doing it yourself.

Most people want to become doctors for the fame and the title. We've grown up with the idea that medical doctors have an exclusive role in society, and rightfully so, they often do. However, the bottom-line is that being a doctor is a job with a ton of responsibilities, especially when the lives of people you treat are at stake. If that's the sort of responsibility to want to be accounted for, for the rest of your life, then it's likely a job you want to pursue.
