A) the M'Naghten rule has been changed to "not criminally responsible due to mental illness" and is attempted quite frequently, but not successfully.
B) the M'Naghten rule has been changed to "not criminally responsible due to mental illness" and is used very sparingly.
C) the M'Naghten rule still applies and is used in a much greater percentage of cases than similar defenses in the United States.
D) the M'Naghten rule still applies but is used in only a handful of cases every year.
