1 -- Closed-system suctioning should be utilized for patients with high PEEP and those who potentially have an aerosolized infectious disease. Oral care should be frequent and is related to intubation, not particularly PEEP. With high levels of PEEP, frequent vital signs and assessments are required to detect any potential complications.
