1 -- Assessing for the risk of sexually transmitted infections and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections is a priority for this patient. Sexual intercourse with same-sex partners further increases the risk for HIV infection. Determination of same sex activity by a man is key in assessing the risk factors. The frequency and enjoyment of sexual intercourse is a part of the data collection but is does not have the same importance as the determination of risk factors. Masturbation may be included in the data collection but it is not as important as the assessment of risk factors.
