Okay, part A was what is delta E for the transition of an electron from n = 8 to n = 2 in a Bohr hydrogen atom?  I got the answer correct, delta E = -5.11*10^-19 J.

Part B is:  What is the frequency of the spectral line produced?  Answer needs to use dimensions of frequency.  I'm lost on this one... Please help!

From my physics days i seem to remember the relationship E = hf  for photons, where h = plancks constant. E = energy and f = frequency.

So frequency = E/f in Hertz.

Your answer should be a very big number of hertz.
