ok, well here's what the calculations instructions are telling me:

Calculate the base line using the data for this lab by subtracting the initial burette reading  (Vi) from the final burette reading (Vf)

my Vf is 44.9 ml and my Vi is 50.0 mL

so my baseline is ........ -5.1 mL? how can i have a negative number? this alone affects the rest of all my data, and later on i find out that some amounts for "hydrogen peroxide remaining" are either higher or lower than the baseline, therefore sometimes 5 mL of hydrogen peroxide is decomposed, and sometimes -10 mL is decomposed? huhh???

this lab involves titration btw, if tht helps.
.
..
can someone explain this to me?
ok, so that means my graph plotting this should still have both a positive and a negative y axis for the amount of hydrogen peroxide decomposed?
