After watching late night television, I turned to an infomercial where two people were talking about a drink that can supposedly reverse arthritis (it looked totally scripted lol) I'm not sure how credible this is, but as far as I'm concerned, arthritis is an autoimmune disease that we don't have much control of. What are your takes on this?

I believe it does not have a significant effect. But, even if it does, I would much more trust the opinion of a physician. So, I vote Yes.

You can add ALL the building-block ingredients to a drink, but if you don't have the proper enzymes to utilize those building-blocks, they are useless. This Supple drink is nothing more than a workout supplement; some workout supplements promise you that they can increase NO (nitric oxide) load, but all that it contains is tyrosine and a few other amino acids (building blocks that lead to the production of NO). If you didn't know, NO acts as a vasodilator, which increases blood flow and oxygen to muscles. However, if you've studied the biochemical pathway of NO, it involves several different enzymes and the pathway is intricate in nature. Therefore, if your body isn't producing those enzymes, all those nutrients go to waste - same with Supple. Now I'm not denying the claims made, because it's likely that those who benefitted from it, as it claims on the infomercial, may have not been getting the proper nutrients to begin with, and so it's effects were valid to an extent. But to believe it can reverse a full blown autoimmune attack, which is what arthritis is, is nonsense. If this were true, all doctors and medical professionals would prescribe it and arthritis would be cured. Face it, to cure arthritis, you'd need a whole new genome and immune system. There are drugs that can suppress the immune system, which essentially is a more hard wired way of treating the disease, but that comes at a cost.

Alex, if you believe in modern day medicine, as you mentioned, why would you vote NO?

I thought the question was if it was working, and so I voted no!!
But it asks if it's a scam, so I should've vote yes  Frowning Face

By the way, there isn't any way to change it, right?

These are always scams. If I didn't know any better, I'd be asking how they allow this stuff on television, but then again, they allow violence, pornagraphy, and crude humour too.

crude humour too

You can't handle a bit of humor? lol

BTW, they mentioned delicious like ten times in that two minute segment. I wonder if it's just Gatorade?

As long as someone is not harming someone else or their property then they should able to do whatever they want. It's not their fault there are so many suckers. I been a NASM certified personal trainer for six years, and nothing  pisses me off more than those Lipozene commercials. They been running infomercials for it seems like 10 years now, so obviously people buy it. Its so sad they get people who look like they been smoking meth talk about how magical this pill is. Then the narrator is like, not only did people lose weight but 78 percent of the weight lost was pure body fat. That statement is just so stupid because losing weight and losing body fat are two different things.  You can lose weight and still gain body fat at the same time. A lot of people on those super low calorie diets will lose 10 lbs, but they actually lost 12 lbs of lean body mass and gained 2 lbs of fat. I tell my clients there is only one way to lose weight and that's to eat lean proteins and complex carbs every three hours, fasted cardio and resistance training. There is one magic pill called DNP, but trust me from personal experience you would rather eat clean and train then sit on your butt and take  DNP. BTW Lipozene is green tea, kola nut, vitamins B6 and B12, and suckers can't get enough it I guess.

Arms dealers do the same, don't they? They will sell you the weapon, but if you use it irresponsible, that's your prerogative. OH! and I've seen that commercial on television, they mention how they conducted their study using a double-blind procedure.

I never knew that, body fat leads to weight gain. DNP does work, but it's really dangerous. I say the best way to lose weight is to run Slight Smile

I guess it's YES by a landslide. Hopefully Supple buyers will do a bit of searching before buying this shady product.

Don't know what your trying to imply by the first sentence? 99.9 percent of gun owners don't harm other people, but the .001 percent will find a way get their arms even if they have to make it themselves. So arm dealers are not....... the ones who would do harm, will get weapons either way. You could say the same about a cashier in a grocery store selling you alcohol couldn't you? You could drink responsibly, or you could blackout and kill people with you car. It is all about being an intelligent responsible adult, which most of us have that capability.

What don't you understand about body fat and body weight being completely different? A male is considered obese at 25 percent body fat. That means that even an obese male entire body weight is made up of 75 percent lean body mass and water. When people go on super low calorie diets their internal clock goes into survival mode. Our bodies still don't know the difference between starvation and dieting. As soon you cut calories below a certain amount your body will start storing fats from everything you eat plus store all your body fat, and it uses you lean body mass and proteins from food as fuel. That is why every fitness model and body builder eats six clean meals a day to fuel to their metabolism to a constant fat-burning furnace by getting your body to use complex carbs and health fats for energy.  DNP is not pleasant to take but people put a lot worse things into themselves everyday. Alcohol is the most toxic substance as far as damage to the brain and internal organs but we have be socialized to believe differently. I  would still rather run though lol...Diet is still 95 percent of it even if you run and train like a beast.
