To reach the brain the impulse travel through a neuron and across the synapse, RESPECTIVELY, by

a) hormones and sodium ion transfer
b) hormones and potassium ion transfer
c) chemical transmission and electrical means
d) electrical means and chemical transmission

Hint:the first correct response must apply to , through a neuron, and not across a synapse.

yes, with regards to the neuron, to send a message up to the brain, the neuron will be a receptor potential causing the conversion of the receptor energy into electrochemical energy. Once it reaches the terminating site it will release acetylcholine to transfer that message through the synaptic space.

Been studying for Advanced A&P for the past 10 days lol.
