The band gap of GaAs is 140 kJ/mol. What wavelength (in nm) of a photon of light is required to have the minimum energy to promote an electron from the valnce band to the conduction band? In what region of the electromagnetic spectrum is this? Can you show step by step so I can understand? Please help, thank you.
