Changes also came to the traditional institutions of the church. What did the Catholic Church come to realize after World War II?
 
  A) It was more important than ever to reassert their influence.
  B) The time had come to end the mutual hostility of the various branches of the Christian churches.
  C) An olive branch to those that practice Judaism was long overdue.
