In studying the architecture of Egypt, there is no question that the Pyramids were the hallmark of the Old and Middle Kingdoms. By the time we reach the New Kingdom of Egypt, these monumental structures are no longer the architectural choice of grandeur for Egypt. What has replaced them?
 
  A) The creation of Obelisks, like that of Niuserre in Abu Gurab
  B) The creation of spectacular underground tombs that remain hidden from sight to protect those buried beneath
  C) Royal palaces of such magnitude that many travelled to Egypt just to see for themselves that these palaces were real
  D) The magnificent temples like that of Amon at Karnak
  E) None as pyramids remained the architectural wonder they had always been
