Im doing a science project on " how does temperature affect the germination of lettuce seeds ? " and im planning to microwave the seeds / put it out in the sun and put it in the freezer / cooler , but i need to know how hot and cold the lettuce seed can be without killing it and preventing it from germinating .
Sources to websites about lettuce seeds and the temperature would be very helpful !

When germination is poor of seed quality, and the seed is going to die. Seed death begins as soon as the seed is mature and viable. Seeds have high germination rates for (2-3) years falling less than the 80% range. At 75% germination of the seeds start to loose the ability to germinate very soon.
