Bones of the shoulder.

Description
This posterior view shows the scapula joining the humerous (upper arm bone) at the glenoid fossa. The acromion of the scapula is connected to the clavicle. The scapula itself is not connected to the ribs or vertebral column. This allows it to move freely in several directions as the shoulder moves.
