. Mr. Tolbert comes to you because he is concerned about this son Jack.  He describes Jack as being a risk-taker, easily bored, susceptible to day dreaming, intensely curious, and at times silly.  He is concerned Jack may have some learning difficulties.  What else might be going on with Jack?

Maybe the topics he is learning at the moment are not satisfying his curiosity. He might need to be more challenged in the concepts he is learning. Maybe he is just ahead of the game. He might need to be moved to a higher level to challenge him greater

Jack might be obssessed with his own musings and live in his own world as he is decribed as a heavy daydreamer and risk taker. The fact that Jack is bored indicates that he is not satisfied with his life, and so takes risk in order to have a turn of events amusing for him.
