How would I go about balancing this equation for the titration of sodium hydroxide and sulphuric acid

NaOH + H2SO4 -> H2O + Na2SO4

Please go into some detail on how to do it rather than just the answer if possible Slight Smile

Not many rules I go by for balancing equations, just to start with elements that are not hydrogen or oxygen - these are done last preferably.

NaOH + H2SO4 -> H2O + Na2SO4
2 NaOH + H2SO4 -> H2O + Na2SO4
2 NaOH + H2SO4 ->  2 H2O + Na2SO4

That's it.
