Does removing anterior pituitary from its place and transplant it in a vascularized area in the neck affect the secretion of gonadotropic hormones?

I think the location is critical. The anterior pituitary gland is connected to the hypothalamus via the hypophyseal portal system. Capillaries in the ventral hypothalamus pick up hormones released by hypothalamic neurons and transport them to the capillaries of the anterior pituitary.

Yup thought so too.. There will be no gonadotropic hormones release becuase the pituitary could not respond to gonadotropin-releasing hormones by the hyopthalamus. In fact, it is shown that system GnRH levels in systemic circulation is barely detectable and is not enough to compensate.
