Voyage of the Beagle

Description
With Darwin aboard as ship’s naturalist, the vessel (top) originally set sail to map the coast of South America, but ended up circumnavigating the globe (bottom). The path of the voyage is shown from red to blue. Darwin’s detailed observations of the geology, fossils, plants, and animals he encountered on this expedition changed the way he thought about evolution.
